IoT-Bus Now in Store

Plug and play - the new range of oddWires open IoT-Bus boards use the Espressif ESP32 microprocessor (240Mhz, 32-bit, 4MB) for rapid, low-cost IoT development and deployment. The first controller boards drive relays and motors.

The flexible oddWires IoT-Bus comes with connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, CAN Bus, GSM, GPRS and LoRa

Two main-board form-factors:

  • Io - Very small and breadboard-friendly with option of male, female or both stackable headers
  • Proteus - larger prototyping board for easier customization and pinout access
  • Both of these boards can accept a specially designed JTAG board offering hardware debugging.

There is a 320x240 TFT Touch Display offering plug and play display output together with a 4-line SDIO SD Card.

Three additional connectivity options:

  • Ethernet - add a PHY for 100M ethernet (expected September)
  • CAN Bus - CAN BUs module
  • LoRa - HOPE RFM95 integration

Two controller boards

  • Relay - opto-isolated relay board
  • Motor - two stepper or four DC motor controller

Choice of open environments for faster development and low cost deployment

  • ESP32 architecture is supported by GCC ESP-IDF (Espressif IoT Development Framework), based on open FreeRTOS and open lwIP (lightweight IP) stack for professional development.
  • Arduino IDE and libraries are supported to provide a higher-level interface for educational or hobbyist use.
